A former funeral home does seem to be the best to place to tell jokes about dead dads. went from a place for the dead to a place to talk about the dead and celebrate life. Idk about you, but I accept being a little broken. Art makes me feel better about life..

Come learn a skill! I think we're shifting towards not needing a bunch of 'stuff' but rather having fullfilling experiences.

The secret (not a secret) to learning a skill is practice, so I've added a 'Pricing Plan' that's hella cheap by comparison to incentivize your growth. I want and more in this small world because creatives create out of what we have and people should feel empowered to problem solve, critically think, collaborate, and continue learning at every stage in life. It's like therapy.

In other news, thanks UIC astro club for letting my snap this shot at a viewing! Sales will be going towards buying a scope after covering expenses. When the weather is warm, ya'll can come see the moon up close. 🌙👀 👽

Thursdays and Saturdays! Starting the 13th : studio, gallery, former funeral parlour, in Pilsen. ⚰️

I've added a 4 class package at a discounted rate, where you can expand upon your paintings and go further by showing up and asking questions. Half of skill building is showing up and doing the thing, so to speak. For now, come take one, bring a friend.

Link in bio. Thursdays and Saturdays! Rain or shine (exceptions include: monsoons, tornados, etc.). We'll be there. I got to make too. 🎨

Many artists develop an attention to detail, and stardard of taste, from sensitizing themselves through practice. One of my beliefs that I revist often is that painting is more of a physical skill than a mystical gift. I believe in the memory in my hands and the focus in my eyes. I don't believe art is for a specific type of people, I think it's a natural part of life.

I would like to host an open studio where everyone can come and continue working on their pieces and keep practicing at our studio . DM me for info and for interest in the next class. All supplies and cleanup on us. A location to work has made all the difference for me. I'm happy to research technique, ideas, etc. for what I don't know.

Painting classes are a great activity to do with a friend or partner or when you're trying to get to know someone.

Personally, I want people to also be hella proud of what they create. Reality is, a masterpiece isn't created in a day. Starting next year, we'll be offering weekly classes in a package and office hours at a cheaper rate, where you can come back, hangout, and continue to work at your own pace. You will recieve personalized instruction to transform your piece into something you couldn't imagine when you layed your first mark.

Our home is Parlour and Ramp 🏠, the gallery, but we also host events in others spaces as well. Good to diversify. PRJCT 21 is off Pilsen's main street, 18th St., and offers hand designed apparel and accesssories. 🕶 In addition, they work with local artists to put on events and colloborate, or--- incubate.

I'm hoping people will stroll on by and see your works in progress and wanna join for our December events that we're planning. 🙏 Lemme know what you'd wanna paint. Always open for suggestions.
