Thanks again for coming out to another great show at Virgin!! This month's was particularly excellent. Big thanks to Lady Jack, Thomas Edison, Gin Fizz, and Sylvi for making it awesome. And of course to the Virgin Hotel Chicago and Lagunitas Brewing! We'll be back next month for some spooky Halloween action!

Hey there Burlesco fans and performers!
It is with some sadness that I announce that Burlesco at H***y Tonk has been cancelled beginning immediately. It was not our decision, but I feel that I can say on the behalf of everyone in the Burlesco family that we are appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to have begun this very special show in such a unique venue like H***y Tonk. We loved the place and did our best to show that love by promoting it and doing our best to deliver a really awesome show every month. Thank you to all our fans who came out to the show every month!! We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you to Joe and Davey, our Burlesco bartenders! We definitely couldn't have done it without you guys. Thanks to all of the kitchen and waitstaff for providing awesome food and for putting up with our bare asses getting in the way of your mac and cheese delivery. We are grateful for your welcoming and enthusiastic attitudes for the last (almost!) three years. And even though this hurts a little, thank you to the management and owners of H***y Tonk for giving us our start.

Silver linings though: We are very happy to put this energy into our relationship with our new venue, Virgin Hotel! We have great support from them and the most amazing sponsor ever: Lagunitas! If you are a fan of the show, please show your support by coming out to our next Burlesco at Virgin on May 20. It's a very special show featuring a reception at 8 pm to honor the photographic genius of Joni Kat Anderson who has captured the story of Burlesco in beautiful photographs. The show starts at 10, so even if you can't make that, pop in after work for a drink while you check out her fantastic work. We'll be posting lots of fun stuff in the coming weeks so stay tuned!!

Thank you again for all of your support! I think I can speak for Matt, Mark, and everyone at Burlesco when I say that we had a real kick ass time and we're going to have a lot more ass kicking in our future!

It's getting close and our line-up is filling out in all the right ways. If our next performer were a painting, she would be a triptych illustrating paradigms of beauty, body, and brain. She's got curves that'll make you weep, hair the color of cumulus clouds at sunset on a summer day, and an intellect that just won't quit. Seriously, it's one big and bouncy intellect. We're happy to welcome back Gin Fizz!

Making her Burlesco debut this Saturday is a performer who is no stranger to the stage. She's got a smile that will make you forget all your woes and smoldering eyes that will make you weak in the knees. Actually, everything about her will make you weak in the knees. You will have completely worthless knees by the end of her act. It's Josephine Shaker!
