Meet Escalus/Abhorson!
*****
Hope Prybylski
Hope recently moved to Chicago in the pursuit of doing theatre that moved her. Not that she wasn't doing that before, but Shakespeare has always been a particular passion - one that she will gladly talk your ear off about. She feels incredibly luck to be making her Chicago debut with a company that somehow read her mind about what kind of stories need to be told and how. Previously she has worked with the Hampstead Stage Company (also based in Chicago, by way of New Hampshire) telling classic stories for youth all over New England, and was a regular at New Stage Theatre back home in Jackson, Mississippi. She HOPES that when you see this show you will talk her ear off, and she will gladly listen.

Our Purpose

Providing a platform for marginalized voices to tell stories through the lens of classical theatre.

Let’s talk about Shakespeare.

About how his stories revolve mostly around men and their decisions, their problems. About how the women in his writing are mainly supporting characters with little control over their own circumstances.

Let’s talk about a woman with a decision to make. She holds the power of her narrative in her own hands.
