Apparently I had managed to release each of these paintings mildly unfinished. It went entirely unnoticed until just the right light in my booth and I could see where a few of my black lines were supposed to be, subtly visible but enough to bother me. Painted some imaginary sunflowers on my mom-in-law’s mailbox this weekend & I think it turned out pretty good! It took about 8 hours in total & got done before any rain came. It’s not my typical style but it is still cheerful. It was my first time painting on an object like this & I’m not sure of its weather resistance but it’s only paint so it can be redone if necessary. It was a nice break from business prep. I’ll be in Riverside next weekend for RAW on June 13 &14! I’ll be in booth 55.

My Scribble journey in a metallic landscape Cool Metals feels musical. The bronze & silver acrylics give it a little shimmer.

I’m figuring out the video tools slowly but surely. All these are my practice runs. It’s a challenge because I’m a static image kinda gal so framing & movement is unnatural for my creative brain.

My scribble designs feel like journeys. Little road trips within a mood. Sunshine in Blue makes me think of a bright sunny day with a wide blue sky.

I like making my little glass magnets from my painting designs. It’s a happy craft from my real art. It extends the life of the part I really love and that’s the design itself. Start to finish, designing is my true love. And it’s fun to see them all in a miniature state.

They’re all close to an inch in size & I use super strong ceramic magnets. Collection shown are from my Just Looking series.

Side note: 8 out of 9 original acrylics have been collected and only Eye See Yellow is available.

See you this weekend at the stalls on the 10th floor of the design at 329 building during ‘open hours’! Check out all the vintage furniture, eclectic art objects, fashion & enjoy the ambiance, have some matcha & a snack. I’ll be there noon til 5 but some showrooms are open til 6. It’s a quick walk from the Chinatown water taxi stop or there’s FREE street parking 1 block west of the building as well as FREE parking inside the building all day! (Posted rules are waived for these events & you can park in any open space & stay as long as needed).
