Happy Pride Month!

Though EFCT is inclusive of LGBTQIA artists, supporters and audiences year round; we want to take time to appreciate all the advocacy, action and allyship in the past, present and future.

Did you know that EFCT’s new artistic director, Natividad Salgado, had her own quinceañera over 20 years ago?!

Her experience was magical, transformative, and very important as a Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Dominican girl. But now, with this upcoming season launch party and fundraiser event, Queerceañera, she gets to celebrate not only this part of her identity but also her artistic and q***r identities too.

She’s so excited to celebrate the company turning 15 years old, raise funds for continuing to produce theatre, and to donate towards an organization that serves people like her, ALMA Chicago.

We are looking for Latine, LGBTQIA+, and/or allied artists! We’re currently organizing our Queerceañera fundraiser at My Buddy’s in Chicago on Friday, July 31st, from 6 pm-9 pm to raise funds for our upcoming 15th season and for our friends at ALMA Chicago.

We are exploring partnerships with other companies, groups, and individual artists open to collaborating on artistic programming for the event. Please see the list of examples for programming/performers below:
