The Lesbian Speakeasy The Le***an Speakeasy is an LGBTQ-run Rogers Park DIY venue with bimonthly live variety shows. Follow our page for show themes and act submission forms.

The Le***an Speakeasy's location is secret, like many DIY venues, and will be announced only on the event page shortly before the event. The next show's theme is always announced at the previous show, and submission forms are usually up within two weeks. We welcome all forms of performance art at the Le***an Speakeasy, including sideshow, dance, burlesque, bands, solo music, drag, live painting, c

lowning, magic, comedy, and anything else you can think of. All shows are free with an optional $10 donation at the door and any tips split amongst performers. Currently our shows are virtual because of the pandemic, but we plan to open up our space again this fall or winter.

We’ve got big stuff happening in our personal lives, so we’re going to be taking February off. We’ll be back soon with a submission form and date for our next show “My Hometown”, a celebration/denigration of the places we come from.

We are excited to announce that our next show, Broadway Dreams, will be our first show with a live audience in nearly 2 years!

We will be accepting both pre-recorded and in-person acts for this show. Audience members will have the option to either join us in-person, or tune in to a livestream.
