Last week featured an incredible, intimate, one night only Fall Out Boy hometown show at Metro Chicago. The following morning an announcement was made that that they are headlining a show at Wrigley Field this summer with Chicago’s The Academy Is... as support.

As if that wasn’t good enough, today, it was announced that Metro Chicago’s 40th anniversary celebration continues with a 3 night residency from Rise Against which now includes  Chicago’s own The Smoking Popes as support

Just a couple months ago, The Smashing Pumpkins returned home and blew the roof off of the Metro.

Last night Anthrax came home and rocked Chicago.
