Bastille Day Run July 14, 2021 The French Independence Day is Bastille Day, July 14. (Approx.) Rendez-vous à la ligne de départ!

It celebrates the storming of the Bastille, a famous prison, during the French Revolution, in 1789. With the taking of this prison, the movement to replace an authoritarian government with a representative government began.

…So Celebrate the 232nd Anniversary of Bastille Day by joining us for a run and party on Thursday evening, July 14th, 2021

Registrants are strongly encouraged to get creative

with French-themed apparel, and that country's blue, white and red flag color scheme. (And, as a super bonus in 2021 this year's Chicago run/walk date actually COINCIDES WITH THE OFFICIAL DAY that Bastille Day is celebrated globally each year: July 14th!)
