I've had some truly delightful opportunities to paint for local families, neighbors and community recently.

Plenty of events bring me and my paints all around the Chicagoland area (and those are really cool too), but being able to serve my own local neighborhood community and see my neighbors' faces light up after being painted is super special!

Summer is starting to book up: reach out to ask about bringing all the colors and all the smiles with some face painting to your next event!

Every child is different: case in point, my oldest kiddo has some sensory sensitivities, so they don't frequently request to be painted- but when they do, I jump at the opportunity to learn and practice methods of how to make sensory sensitive kids more comfy.

I communicate with them to let them know what I'm doing with the brushes and tools, and ask questions to learn more about what feels best. I think I succeeded as they gave me a "5 star review" afterward, and then asked to paint me too 🥰 Also, not every child likes being painted, which is okay! Everyone is different. My goal is just to do my best to make face painting an enjoyable experience for anyone who wants to be painted.

My kiddo happened to ask for a bee, which is perfect because I have been trying to brush up on all my spring and summer designs. This one was inspired by kameleon, adapted to be an eye design.
