Not your typical summer festival - more than 50 acts will appear on FOUR stages (2 indoor and 2 outdoor). Square Roots will feature the best local and regional craft breweries while serving up food from a variety of Lincoln Square restaurants. Location: The festival will take place on Lincoln Avenue, between Montrose and Wilson. Suggested donation: $10 Adults; $5 Seniors over 65 and Children under 12

A part of Square Roots 2026 we still can’t get over is the incredible variety and talent that was on display at the Sunnyside Kid Zone!!

There were so many interactive activities and exciting performances ranging from dance lessons to Wiggleworms, barn dances, youth bands, storytellers, bounce houses, and SO much more! It’s one of our favorite sections of the festival every year, and we’re so grateful for all of the performers who graced the stage in 2026 🙌🎶👯♥️

A little commotion for our FABULOUS Square Roots volunteers 👏👏👏

These dedicated folks are the ones pouring your drinks, setting up and tearing down, keeping the area clean, directing festival-goers, accepting gate donations, and much more! The fest would simply be impossible without their help.

Here are just a few of our favorite Sunday moments. Producing each year’s Square Roots is such a special project, so thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out for our favorite event of the year!!

Big shoutout to Old Town School of Folk Music and Lincoln Square Ravenswood for making this weekend happen. Plus, the fest would be nothing without all of our awesome staff, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters! Let’s do it again in 2027 😉

⚡️ Old Town School New Americana, String Band (Youth and Adult!), and Classic Country Ensembles

🙌 Teen Showcase ft. Annabell and Friends & Funky Worm in Maurer Hall

☀️ The Little Miss Ann Band, Desueño Dance, The Story Scavengers, Family Hip Hop Dance with Chello! on the Sunnyside Family Stage

👯‍♂️ Haikikino Hula, Line Dance, Flamenco, and Belly Dance workshops, a Summertime Beatles sing-along, and another sweet Second Half jam across Old Town School’s buildings

🍻 Craft drinks from Dovetail, Half Acre, Surfside, Wynk and Best Day Brewing, and incredible food to feed your street fest appetite

✨ So many awesome local market vendors your head will spin

🦩 Major inflatables and endless family fun in the Kid Zone

All we can say is...WOW!!! Y’all absolutely brought the energy on day two of Square Roots! Lincoln Ave was overflowing with so much incredible music, dancing, food, beer, and family fun we could hardly keep track of it all 🙌

If you haven’t been able to join us yet, no sweat! We’ve got one more full day ahead of us. Gates open at noon. We’ll see you soon 😎
