I remembered a beautiful summer day in Chicago —
while still living through winter.

It came to me so clearly today.
The warmth on my skin.
The golden light on the buildings.
The way the city feels alive, open, full.

And today the sun is peeking through again,
as if giving us a small glimpse
of what summer is going to be —
warm, optimistic, abundant, welcoming.

Even in the middle of winter,
there is this soft promise in the air.
A quiet reminder that the cold is temporary.
That light always returns.

Chicago looks different when the sun touches it —
hopeful, expansive, glowing.
And somehow, so do I.

Standing here, I feel so grateful.
Grateful for my life.
For my past that shaped me.
For my present that holds me.
And grateful for whatever the future might bring —
so much happiness,
so much warmth,
so much abundance.

Today felt like a whisper from summer,
reminding me that beautiful things are already on their way. ☀️✨

Once upon a time, on a sunny windowsill, three plants lived in a cup on a table in the middle of the room. The two smaller plants, an elegant orchid and a curious air plant, were jealous of the tallest plant, a graceful reed.
The reed towered over the other plants, its slender stems swaying gently in the breeze. The orchid and the air plant couldn't stand it any longer.
"We have to do something about the reed," the orchid whispered to the air plant. "He's just too tall and graceful. We need to knock him down a peg."
The air plant nodded in agreement. "But how are we going to do it? He's so tall and strong."
The orchid thought for a moment. "I have an idea. When the humans are not looking, we'll push the cup off the table. That will show the reed who's boss."
The air plant was hesitant. "But what if we get caught? The humans will be very upset if they find out what we did."
The orchid waved its petals dismissively. "Don't worry about that. We'll make it look like an accident. They'll never suspect a thing."
And so, when the humans were not looking, the orchid and the air plant put their plan into action. They wrapped their tendrils around the cup and gave it a hard shove.
The cup teetered for a moment, struggling to maintain its balance. But it was no use. With a final, fateful push, the orchid and the air plant sent the cup tumbling to the floor...
