Just did my first reversing valve today I HATE SERVICE! And why didn’t y’all warn me that green gas was gonna burn my face nose and lungs! Go ahead and laugh it up! I was in fu***ng tears when I did the first joint by the time I got done my whole face was burning! I’m 100% installing until I die now I never wanna do another one of these ever again!!!

Just spent 2.5 hours on hold to talk to Navian customer support about a NHB boiler that had a total melt down!!!!
Circuit boad melted!!!
They denied me any warranty because the exhaust pipe was 4” pvc instead of 2” or 3”!!!!!!! Wtf!!!
Has any one else got the shaft from Navian?????

My most expensive piece of art
Wife asked me to hang some shelving while we were stuck inside for a ice storm earlier this year. The refrigerant line showed up as a stud on my stud finder and I managed to drive a strew directly into the line and loose all of the refrigerant. Did I mention my system is a heat pump and there was a ice storm?

The shadow box now lives on the wall and covers up the missing patch of drywall.

Landlord built a DIY fence around the AC unit and now it doesn’t workThey built it maybe a month ago after we had problems with the pipes freezing over. I guess the previous tenants had a dog that did some damage and they’re trying to get ahead of it with our dog, but this fence seems like that worst solution to that. I know they can’t just trust our word, but our dog doesn’t p*e on or even approach the unit at all.

Can it survive a 500 psi nitrogen test?
Stopped by a local "minisplit dealership" i saw nothing interesting except this thing, paid $16 for it and a couple gaskets just trying to support local business, it couldn't hold a vacuum at all with whatever white sealant the manufacturer used, but it does now. I was curious if anyone else has had experience with blue monster teflon on something like this, its all i had atm.

Why do these pipes make a seemingly random U-bend?
I'm not familiar with HVAC, just curious as to why the random turns instead of just going in a straight line.

Furnace blower motor not running
Any other diy homeowner here, sorry for my lack of knowledge, is it possible for a blower motor to be broken if it spins freely, each of the 4 sp*ed wires show increasing resistance from 2.3 to 4.5 ohms and none of the wires, including the capacitor wires, have connectivity to the grounding wire or the motor's case?

Backstory: 2005 Lennox furnace stopped blowing air and only makes a humming noise. it doesn't matter if I set it to Ac or fan only. Both diagnostic lights blink together about every 1 sec. I've replace the capacitor and it didn't help ( the old capacitor reads 6.8 and is rated at 7.5uf). The fan motor was pretty warm to the touch. Both the low and high sp*ed pins on the board read 119v.

Follow up question: how do I find a replacement motor with 4 mounting legs

How many times can I keep flipping the breaker to fix the ac? I replaced the capacitator and the contractor but it’s still not working
