A quick recap: everyone had a phenomenal time at last month's book club meeting. We thoroughly enjoyed This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper. Most everyone thought the book was between 4 and 5 stars. We loved the incredibly human characters, and we debated exactly how much we hate Jen...and Wendy...and Alice. Basically the women are evil and use s*x as a weapon and the men are wildly screwed up in deep and truly hilarious ways.
Recommend it to your friends! Remember, this month's theme was children's stories. We've already decided that June and July will be EPIC SUMMER, and we'll be reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman. We'll read and discuss the first half in June and the second half in July. Tricia had a great idea for a field trip to one of the locations in the book. Sounds fun!
