⏰Hours: 24-28 hrs per week

ArtSeed Teaching Artists work in pairs to co-create curriculum and co-facilitate community-based arts and nature programming in Chicago Park District parks for day camp youth ages 5-15.

Our programming is focused on the themes of environmental justice and nature-based arts and play.

ArtSeed teaching artists will participate in 2.5 weeks of training from June 2nd - June 18th and will facilitate ArtSeed programming from June 22nd - July 31st. We are looking for teaching artists who have backgrounds in community-based arts practices, environmental justice, popular education, and nature-based healing modalities.

⏰Timeline

📚Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with curriculum design and implementation
- 5+ years of experience in program design, documentation, and evaluation
- Deep knowledge of trauma-informed, healing-centered, and youth-centered pedagogical practices
- Strong grounding in critical pedagogy, cultural responsiveness & equity-centered learning
- Experience facilitating collaborative learning spaces with educators and community partners
- Strong project management skills
- Clear, thoughtful written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas for diverse audiences
