Founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Nick Pupillo, Visceral Dance Chicago is a contemporary dance company dedicated to a engaging, challenging and connecting artists with audiences while creating a visceral experience.

2026/27 NEW ARTIST | Welcoming Amber Lew Amber Lew from Orange County, California

Amber Lew (She/They) is a California-born movement artist who graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2025 for their BFA and Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2026 with an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance. Beginning dance at age nine through the Cecchetti method, Amber trained in ballet before pursuing contemporary and modern dance. Their experiences include Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Ensemble, Ballet BC, Northwest Dance Project, Amy Seiwert Sketch, and New Century Dance Project. They have performed works by Aszure Barton, Lar Lubovitch, Ronald K. Brown, and Norbert De La Cruz III.

Amber toured internationally with Northern School’s touring company Verve, working with Andrea Costanzo Martini, Alethia Antonia, Oona Doherty, Joanne Bernard, and Alesandra Seutin. Under the name Babyteeth, Amber co-created Woven Souls with Lucia Taylor, which premiered at New Century Dance Project in 2023 and later appeared at Resolution Dance Festival at The Place in London in 2026. Their MA research explored identifying freedom within complex structures built from chance, which continues to shape their creative practice. Amber is excited to begin their first season with Visceral Dance Chicago and looks forward to another new experience.

2026/27 NEW ARTIST | Welcoming Asiah Moore Asiah Moore originally from Richmond, Virginia

Asiah Moore is originally from Richmond, Virginia, where she began dancing competitively at a young age. She received her BFA in Dance with a minor in Arts Management from George Mason University. During her time at George Mason, she performed works by Christina Robson, Shaun Boyle D’Arcy, Andrea Miller, Victor Quijada, Yin Yue, and Martha Graham. She also choreographed and presented three original works, one of which was selected to perform at the Aurora Dance Festival in Washington, D.C. Prior to graduation, Asiah also received the Outstanding Achievement in the Major Award. While in school, she also had the privilege of interning with the Dance for Parkinson’s program, which she looks forward to continuing to explore in the future.

Outside of her university dance experiences, she has attended summer intensives such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance, and Springboard Danse years 2025 and 2026 where she had the opportunity to work with artist such as Kyle Abraham, Helene Simoneau, Anya Saugstad, and Shane Urton. Asiah continues to cultivate her development as an artist, and is very excited to begin her performance journey with Visceral.

2026/27 NEW ARTIST | Welcoming Aidan Gresock Aidan Gresock originally from Havre de Grace, Maryland

Aidan Gresock began his dance training in Maryland at E-Street Dance Academy and Cecil Dancenter. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2026 under the direction of Pamela Pietro, where he also earned a minor in Business, Entertainment, Media, and Technology through the NYU Stern School of Business. During his time at NYU, Aidan trained with renowned companies and artists including Gibney Dance, KOMOCO Dance, Dual Rivet, Doug Varone and Dancers, David Dorfman Dance, and Ronald K. Brown’s EVIDENCE. He performed works by Kayla Farrish and Merce Cunningham under the direction of Andrea Weber and RaShaun Mitchell, as well as a diverse range of student-choreographed works. During his senior year, Aidan joined Sean Curran Company as an apprentice, performing at the New Victory Dance Festival. He has also performed at the Young Choreographers Festival, New Wave Dance Festival, and PMT House of Dance Festival. He has spent the summer attending b12, where he continued to expand his practice and develop his artistic voice.

Aidan is thrilled to begin his first season with Visceral Dance Chicago, where he looks forward to continuing to grow, explore, and evolve as a dance artist.

2026/27 NEW ARTIST | Welcoming T’aja Williams T originally from Sacramento, California and Bermuda

T’aja Williams was raised in Sacramento, California, and Bermuda. She is an alumn of the Grier School and George Mason University with a BFA in Dance. T’aja also received an Outstanding Service To The Field Award from the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Miss Williams has had the privilege of working with Susan Shields, Shaun Boyle D’Arcy, Christopher dAmboise, Lawrence Jackson, Kate Weare, Mike Tyus, Luca Francesco Renzi, Joshua Manculich, Nicole von Arx, and Darrel Grande Moultrie. She has gained experience through the Paul Taylor Summer Intensive, Alonzo King Lines Summer Program, American Dance Festival, the International Association of Blacks in Dance, Whim W’Him Summer Dance Intensive, and Doug Varone’s Winter Workshop.

T’aja has premiered five choreographed works throughout her undergraduate education, titled Reconciliation I, Oh My Gosh!, Salt and Light, This Isn’t Your Story To Tell, and Amidst.

2026/27 NEW ARTIST | Welcoming Tyler Chang originally from New York City.

Tyler Chang, a multidisciplinary Chinese-American artist, was born and raised in New York City. They began their dance education at LaGuardia High School, additionally training at Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Hispánico, and MOVE|NYC|.

Tyler earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California (USC) Glorya Kaufman School of Dance on an artistic-excellence scholarship with a concentration in performance and a minor in Business Finance. Throughout their time at USC Kaufman, they performed original works by Kyle Abraham, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Saleemah E. Knight, Bret Easterling, Tyce Diorio, and Jennifer Lott as well as restaged works by Christopher Wheeldon, Jiří Kylián, Hope Boykin, and Shahar Binyamini.

Professionally, Tyler has performed in In Search of an Exit, an evening length work by Thomas Ford and Steven Atwater, and in DiscoFoot by Tom Caley and Petter Jacobsson.

In addition to their collegiate studies, Tyler studied at The School at Jacob’s Pillows contemporary program, Springboard Danse Pittsburgh, Orsolina 28, and the Ballets Jazz Montréal summer intensive, where they performed works by Wayne McGregor, Sharon Eyal, Laja Field, Juliano Nunes, Florian Lochner/Alice Klock (FLOCK), and Andonis Foniadakis. They additionally were a 2025 Arnhold summer fellow studying dance education and leadership.

Tyler is thrilled to begin their first season with Visceral Dance Chicago where they look forward to continued growth and exploration as a dance artist and maker.

2026/27 NEW ARTIST | Welcoming Mandy Fang mandy fang originally from San Francisco, CA

Bay Area native, Mandy Fang, is an Asian American dancer and choreographer who has been in process with Dwight Rhoden, Jodie Gates, and Peter Chu. She has performed “Steps in the Street” alongside the Martha Graham Dance Company and premiered Dwight Rhoden’s “Random Acts” at the Joyce Theater next to the Complexions Contemporary Ballet company. She was recently recognized as a 2026 Laguna Dance Emerging Artist, and has attended training programs with Lines Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Orsolina28, Ballet BC, Laguna Dance, b12 and Springboard Danse. Mandy earned her BFA in Dance Performance and BA in Public Relations/Advertising as well as an Asian American Studies minor at Chapman University. While at Chapman, she has published interdisciplinary research combining dance and anthropology, earned over $6,000 in research grants. Mandy’s research has taken her abroad to Canada, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. Mandy is eager to pursue performance, creation, and continued growth with Visceral.
