This is a call to our community to help a very special person whom you may not even know.
Our dear friend Marina has esophageal cancer, a rare disease among young people that has spread to her surrounding organs. She recently moved back to Chicago to seek better care. Starting in January 2024, her treatment has included extensive hospital stays, cross-country travel, and procedures, all of which require full-time care from her loving husband, Jon.
Marina qualifies for some out-of-state clinical trials that could save her life, and money shouldn’t get in the way of her care. We need to get her there ASAP, and time is of the essence. Staying alive with an aggressive disease is a full-time job (if you know, you know…).
Marina is the design master who has volunteered countless hours to develop the visual identity of LVL3. If you ever read one of our interviews or saw one of our shows, you have seen Marina’s work. Marina designed our logo and website. In addition to supporting LVL3, Marina has been an active design volunteer with Arts of Life as well as with the development of the Progressive Art Studio Alliance (even while attempting to fight this cancer).
