🎬 OMEN (AUGURE)— Winner of the Un Certain Regard New Voice Prize at Cannes

“Announces its writer-director as an artist of significant formal imagination and daring…” — Variety

In OMEN, Koffi returns from Belgium to Kinshasa with his pregnant fiancée, hoping for his family’s blessing—but is instead branded a “zabolo,” or sorcerer, marked since childhood. Told across four interconnected chapters, the film weaves together family tensions, buried trauma, and cultural belief systems that shape—and fracture—identity.

Blending magical realism with striking visual imagery, *OMEN* explores questions of belonging, inheritance, and whether one can ever escape the weight of cultural judgment.
