The Social Change Theatre Festival is rooted in a commitment to theater that uplifts and empowers marginalized voices by bringing together individuals and organizations dedicated to using theater for justice and transformation.

"The School of Memory" opens July 9th at Theatre Y! In this multimedia performance, director-performer Héctor Álvarez explores his family's complex history with Spanish Fascism through a blend of critical fabulation and documentary theatre. With live video and audio manipulation by Chilean designer and technology artist Attilio Rigotti, "The School of Memory" presents a deeply pertinent look at facism as an affliction of the past and present.

Hector was the Managing Director for Still Point in years past, and we are proud to share his work with the Still Point community. Support Hector and Theatre Y! if you can!
