Fine Arts Festival Downtown Downers Grove September 12-13, 2026

The Downers Grove Fine Arts Festival will be celebrating 49 years this fall! The festival is held in the middle of award-winning, historic downtown! Enjoy our boutiques, cafes, and a children’s art area that will complement the high-caliber art on display at the show. The show is open from 10 am-5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Every Friday, I open The Vault to reveal one original artwork that has never before been featured in this special collection

This week marks a first. The first-ever diptych release.
Between the Lines is made up of two original 9×12 paintings that together become one continuous work of art.

Rich layers of acrylic paint, expressive movement, metallic copper, and genuine gold leaf weave across both canvases, creating a seam of light that connects them. Display them horizontally, vertically, or with space between them—the conversation changes with every arrangement.

Sometimes life feels scattered...

Yet somehow, unseen threads continue to hold everything together. That's hat's what I see here.

These five originals left Glen Ellyn and headed to their forever homes this weekend. And a plethora of close-out prints, too. I am grateful that my first show back was such a pleasant experience.
