"I came to Extensions at nine years old, worried that it was too late to become a great dancer. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Not only did I have nearly half my life at EXD ahead of me, but I also found a second home and family that would change me forever.
From day one, I was surrounded by people who pushed me, supported me, and inspired me—not just as a dancer, but as a person and I wholeheartedly believe that Lizzie’s mentorship has shaped me in every way. Since I was young, she’s enlightened me with the concept that defines the difference between dancing and DANCING—where the latter means putting your entire soul and self into it, not just going through the motions with your body. Extensions taught me how to be a hard worker, to embrace the struggle, and to find joy in the effort. I've learned to meet challenges with grit and love the process of growth – that mindset will stay with me far beyond the studio.
I am also endlessly grateful to Jackie, Lauren and the rest of the EXD faculty. And to every dancer at Extensions, you’ve become my best friends and my favorite people in the world. You are my chosen family. As I move on to this next chapter, I’m taking everything I’ve learned at EXD with me. I truly have Extensions to thank for helping me become the person I am today. I’ll definitely be back to this place I call home!
