Villapalooza Creating safe spaces for arts and culture in Little Village Lawndale We develop multiple platforms that highlight local talent and young creatives.

Villapalooza is a collective of Latine community members that come together to create safe spaces for arts and culture. Villapalooza aims to activate spaces to make them more accessible to the larger community.

​All core leaders have a longstanding relationship with Little Village as well as a commitment to the development of a thriving youth arts culture in the neighborhood.

We are less than one day away from the festival, kicking off at 12 PM Saturday, August 22, 2026 at La Villita Park!

Reminder: the Family section is from 12 to 5 PM!

Please be sure to look over the event rules and help us uphold these by talking to your friends, loved ones, and family members who are coming to enjoy Villapalooza. Together we can help to keep the festival is fun and safe for all. We want to make sure we take care of the park 🌳 🫶🏼 💖

Tropa Magica was formed by brothers David and Rene Pacheco in 2018, inspired by the songs and vibes of their ’90s East LA backyard parties.

The band blends the guitars and rhythms of ’60s Peruvian cumbia with ’90s grunge and a southern psychedelic twist, creating a tropical psychedelic dance party that gets everyone moving. 🌴🎸

Next up: Qwel & Nightwalker 🎤🔥

Two respected voices in underground hip-hop, Chicago lyricist Qwel and producer Nightwalker bring their Divided Times Tour to Little Village.

Qwel, co-founder of the legendary Typical Cats, is known for his intricate lyricism and thoughtful storytelling. Together with Nightwalker’s hard-hitting, cinematic production, they created Divided Times, a collaborative album rooted in soulful, boom-bap-inspired hip-hop.

Their live set will feature music from Divided Times alongside favorites from Qwel’s catalog.
