The RGB Critter by Ants on a Melon came!

I’m planning to get a review video posted soon! I tried to do an unboxing video, but I’m a bit self-conscious about what I had filmed and want to instead put out a video after I’ve taken the time to learn everything the prop has to offer and to make the video more valuable to someone who is looking for more information before buying.

What I’m thinking right now about it? It’s a really cool prop and miles ahead of the old Bitwhip flashlight that I started whipping with and ended up hating, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner light whipper just based on the high price point and the steep learning curve with the color mode functionality. For a light whipper, this is probably best for someone looking to add another person prop to their collection. For people who are solely interested in light painting though, it’s definitely a great kit for it, and Ants does have a wide range of light painting tools to go with it.

Is it better than my baby, the Fiberflies Rev 4? It certainly offers things that the Rev 4 doesn’t offer, such as mode programming and a wide variety of attachments, but the jury is still out on whether or not I prefer to dance with it over the Rev 4.

My main sticking point is the price! With the Fiberflies Rev 4, you’ll be paying a round $90 including shipping for a solid, durable prop with a good track record and reputation, enjoyable color modes and great brightness. I have never had a Fiberflies whip break on me, no matter how many times I’ve dropped them.

With the RGB Critter, you’ll be paying $155 (which is a pre-sale price, retail says $165) for the flashlight and a 5.5 ft whip. Since the prop is so new, $155 is a lot to drop on a product that has yet to prove itself when it comes to durability, which IMO, is the most important factor for props. I’m a nerd for product reviews, so I dropped the $$$, but $155 is definitely a big asking price for just the whip compared to other stuff that is available, which is why I wouldn’t tell a beginner to go for this one… yet.

Hey! I hope you’re having a good week so far!

I wanted to talk a bit about the direction I’m going in currently:

I made a Fanhouse! It’s a SFW private feed platform similar to OnlyFans, and I’ll be posting to it as close to daily as possible, with content ranging from everyday blogging sorts of content, to behind the scenes stuff, lewds, exclusive art and honestly a little bit of everything that I usually do, but the bits I don’t post anywhere else. Fanhouse even has a group chat feature where we can all chill! 🥰

It’s a $5 sub to mimic the US Twitch sub price, and it’s great option for those who want to support me but don’t want their money going to Twitch. It’s important to me as a creator to give y’all multiple choices for support, and with the way Twitch is nowadays, I don’t blame anyone for wanting to get their money out.

“What happened to your Buy Me A Coffee subscription?”

So the BMAC sub was originally intended to be a yoga class subscription first, art and extra content sub second, but I had a huge health thing pop up (which is still around and possibly chronic forever, I’ve been dealing with nausea all morning) earlier in the year that slowed everything down for me. Right now I teach yoga sporadically when I can, and I just don’t have the spoons to float an operation like I was setting up before. At the same time, Fanhouse feels way more natural to me as a platform for the types of content that I want to post. BMAC will still be around as a place to buy drop-in fees for future classes or as a general tipping platform, but I will no longer be posting to it.

When it comes to yoga classes in the future, all who are subscribed to any platform will have access to classes, and there will be a drop-in fee (pay as you can, $4,$6,$8) for non-subs. I’ll keep everybody posted on when classes happen!

I painted dis!!
Legit I usually do abstract art kinda stuff but yesterday’s stream was me trying out two things that I just don’t have the most practice in - acrylic paints and actually drawing a subject instead of just abstraction. I’m pretty proud of myself!!

No stream today because I’m just generally exhausted 😴

Chairs are an amazing prop to make your yoga practice work for you!

If you work in an office setting, or if you’re a gamer, chair yoga is a great way to get stretchy and present in your workspace! Competitive gamers can really benefit from chair yoga to keep their bodies limber and stretched out while they’re fragging noobs.

I have spent the whole day angry at myself for projects that I’ve started and haven’t finished. It makes me feel like I’ll never be able to finish anything that I want to accomplish and that I might as well not even try.

Okay okay rewind, Kat, what the hell

What if you honored those projects instead?

Instead of “wow you had this awesome idea and you didn’t see it to completion, you lazy bitch”...

How about “wow that was a great idea!” and just call it there?

Sometimes I feel angry at my brain’s ability to come up with novel s**t that I don’t need to do. The real s**t though is that it’s important to remember that my imagination is something to be proud of and has gotten me this far. I’m grateful for that.
