If I had one work to sum up the Poetry & Paint sessions, it would be thankful.

Not too often do my words fail me, but I truly can’t describe this past Saturday with another other word than, indescribable.

The love, the energy, the support of it all. Thank you God. The work that is pictured is a reflection of the work that I put into myself. I truly believe that what you do in private is shown outwardly. I take none of the credit because God takes me through those valleys intentionally. Nothing is ever wasted.

There was so much warm love in the room.

To the artists that shared with us this session: thank you for your gift & being a willing vessel. For some it was a full circle moment cus you been here with me since the beginning & I do not take that lightly or for granted.

To my family: thank you for being my backbone. Thank you for inspiring me, no matter how challenging, we’ve overcome them all.

To my person: thank you for helping me to cultivate “my soft woman era”. To learn love. To forgive. & to be open to being loved. I thrive here.

With that said, to every person who took the time to be with me the past 3 years. I so appreciate you. Deeply. I don’t know what’s next but I do know who does.

The job is not over, however it is just beginning.

Peace Family,

Wow, I am in awe that we’re made it to the last session of 2024. I am even a little saddened that this will be the last session for a while. How long, I cannot say but we’re going out with a BANG!

First of all, I have to acknowledge the One who has kept me. Thank you, Lord. My twenties have been the most challenging, yet the most rewarding. All the milestones, the degrees, the relationships, the work that it took to just be here. I have accomplished in my twenties what most don’t in their entire lifetime. It’s more evident to me now more than ever that God’s hand, His love, His favor has allowed me to prosper. I take none of the credit. Bringing in my new year was about intimacy. Being quiet & in a space of clarity. I spent time with the people that I love the most. I spent time with the people that love me the most. I heard from people that I haven’t spoken to in years. People picked up the phone to call that I haven’t been on terms with in years. A reoccurring theme in my life is one of forgiveness, learning how to love well, more than that- learning how to BE well. I’m thankful for the work that God has been doing in my heart, my mind, my Spirit, my body. He truly is a healer. I am so grateful. I am so in love with the woman that I see. I believe that God is proud of me. I believe that I am becoming the one that God knew when He formed me. I believe in His plan for me. I believe He loves me. & on this year, I just wanted to tell Him thank you, Father.

The Writer’s Room has made into a big league 🥹, I never knew how much adversity would be pressed against you when you’re in the process of birthing beauty. That just tells me how much of an impact has already been made & WILL continue to do so. This baby has given me & my team so much labor pains that my heart was aching, my soul crying, & heart breaking.

I am still in process of trusting the process!

I feel like I’m reliving this journey but in a completely new sphere. I’m just thankful that God is using ME as a vessel to teach something so valuable. While I’m teaching, this process has most certainly been teaching me.

Since availability we’re currently at 33% of our goal. Originally the goal was 1K but I felt God say, “Na BIGGER!” We’re currently working to expand our reach to the following: customers in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, India and Japan.

A Story about a Story:

Around this time last year, I had a roof over my head but no place to call my own. This is after a year & a half, moving from place to place. My car as my closet. & a storage unit that held all my belongings.

I share this moment because I never knew what God was working on behind the scenes. I wrote this book 2 years ago in an empty apartment in Arizona, I was literally in the desert. I thought that God had forsaken me. Again, I never knew what God was working on behind the scenes. I had my own plan & design for how I thought it should go. Now I have a hard time planning because life is so unpredictable, but I do trust. I do believe that it’s all for my good.

This is more than an e-book, this is proof that God can take you from being desolate to walking through living & breathing waters. Today I bow in gratitude for never giving up. For being open to God’s plan. & more than that, surviving it all for you to be able to hear the story.

Many have wondered where I’ve been- the answer is simple, I’ve been journeying to understand the hidden treasures of my identity. In a space of becoming.

During this season I’ve learned so much about leadership, humility, being of service to others, integrity, honesty, strength.

Learning & growing simultaneously.
