The big, bolded letters spell out KORMOS and ASWANG! Kormos is a spirit in Turkish folklore, and ASWANG is from Philippine Folklore!

I've always believed there should be some Philippine representation in Phasmophobia, because Filipino folklore is rich in mythological creatures and supernatural beings. I'm very excited and losing my mind over here! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

This past weekend I got to celebrate my first birthday in Japan. Tbh, I wasn't sure if I was going to do anything because I've just been so busy my first couple of weeks here, what with settling in my new apartment and shopping for what I need, attending classes, studying, and doing homework, registering with the government and setting up utilities and accounts, and more. It's been go, go, go.

But my classmate nudged me and said we should do something for my birthday! So, I got to celebrate by hanging out with Bruno-san and Jay-san!

We got some lunch at Yakiniku Like in , which was a delicious deal. Prices are pretty affordable, so I wouldn't mind going here again for a lunch break!

Afterwards, we finally got to see the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, since Japan had a later release date than other countries. Probably to coincide with the Golden Week holidays. It was a fun, hilarious movie, and I got a bit teary eyed at all the references to old Mario games. It was like my childhood adventures being acknowledged by a Hollywood movie. 🥲

Afterwards, we hit up some of the video game arcades and claw machines, then took a nice stroll around , before winding down with a late night snack/meal.

Good times. Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes and celebrating with me. 🥰
