Theater group of Wilbur Wright College, City Colleges of Chicago As well as regular meetings to encourage student participation and involvement.

The mission of Stage Wright is to promote knowledge and education of theatre practices through various activities, events, and performances. We seek to involve the Chicago community in immersion and enjoyment of various forms of theatre art, used both as a vehicle for entertainment and a vehicle for education. Activities, events, and performances of the club include, but are not limited to, conduc

ting and hosting workshops, producing student-acted productions for the Chicago community and the surrounding area including educational theatre for children, sharing and building monologue portfolios, attending and discussing theatre performances, attending theatre festivals, sponsoring theatre professionals to come and speak on campus about theatre careers, lives, and techniques, regular workshops to develop the students' bodies as actors and performers with exercises in improvisation, relaxation, movement, voice, etc.

Hello all. We finally have the rights for the Fall play. The show is Elephant Man by Bernard Promenance Directed by Patrick Ham. Auditions will be Sept 1 and the show dates are Nov 4-7. Rehearsals will be 3:30-6:00pm M-Th. The original cast was 9 with lots of doubling but I will be breaking those out to have a slightly larger cast based upon auditions. Additional details will become available as we get closer to the Fall term.

Thank you to all who came out to see our Spring 2026 production of "The Diary of Anne Frank." We would also like to congratulate two of our performers: Joel Sherwood as Otto Frank and Joselyn Rodriguez as Anne Frank who have been nominated to audition for Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships from the American College Theatre Festival at next year's festival.

Stage Wright and the Production Team would like to thank everyone who auditioned. If you were not able to be cast this semester we still encourage you to get involved in some capacity either backstage or with our club, Stage Wright Productions. We will have a Stage Wright meetings in the coming weeks. We also encourage you to take Theatre courses in the Fall such as ThrArt 131: Introduction to Theatre, Thr 130: Stagecraft, and ThrArt 133: Acting I & Thr Art 233: Stage Design. The castings decisions were very difficult this semester because we had such a great turn out for auditions. We want everyone to get involved in some capacity.
