It is our pleasure to share that Project Onward artists are proudly part of “Outside Forces,” the 20th annual exhibition at Art Enables in Washington, DC (2204 Rhode Island Ave. NE)

Bringing together artists from studios and communities across the country, Outside Forces celebrates self-taught artists whose work has developed outside the conventions of mainstream art education and culture. The exhibition highlights the diverse and powerful perspectives that artists bring to their practices, all while creating space to consider the complicated and evolving language surrounding “outsider art.”

Project Onward is proud to be represented alongside 27 studios and independent artists from across the country, bringing together an incredible community of artists with disabilities and self-taught artists.

-On view from August 22 to October 17, 2026
-Opening Reception: September 12, 5 to 7 PM
-A digital exhibition will also be available at www.art-enables.org beginning August 22
