Hola a todos!

2020 has been full of chaotic surprices and despite of some disappointments, CICA has been extremely blessed during these harsh times. CICA stands strong full of love and support from our community, teachers, families and students. That being said we are extremely happy and honored to announce the merging of one of the best folkloric dance companies of Chicago, Mexican Dance Ensamble(MDE) and MDE JR.

WELCOME MDE! We look foward to sharing stages with you and creating a prosperous future together as one.

We are happy to announce that MDE JR has merged with Collaborative Institute of Cultural Arts! We currently are accepting students!! Call or message us for more information!

2020 has been an unprecedented and chaotic year full of surprises. We have faced some hardships and disappointment, primarily in the loss of our long-cherished studio. After months of looking for a new studio unsuccessfully, we found an opportunity that we could not pass up! It is with great excitement we are announcing our merger with the Collaborative Institute of Cultural Arts(CICA), one of Chicago’s premier folkloric companies! Now past our transition period, we are all excited about the work we will be able to produce. Thank you to CICA for the amazing welcome! We cannot wait to see all the wonderful projects that will result from this union.

It is because of young ladies like the ones in this video that we continue to ask you to support our passion and donate to our MDE GoFundMe account. During these tough times of uncertainty many dance studios, art centers and more are unsure if they will be able to continue staying alive. Regardless of our situations here we are trying to make the best of this time, it is amazing to see our girls engage and have fun doing something they love!
