How Novel! an instant drama
Opens August 7th! Free tickets for opening weekend!

Dialogue and imagery can conjure with just a few simple lines from your favorite novel. However, the same words could inspire many a story and plot line, each vastly different from the original subject matter. Join us as we get some “novel ideas” inspired from a passage or two, and make a full multi-act improvised play! Each show will also accept book donations for our community.

Want a free ticket? Bring a book to donate and get a free ticket to the show! All books will be donated to The Brown Elephant, benefitting Howard Brown Health.

Miniseries is an improvised 8-part drama, entrenched in the style of your favorite appointment TV. Each part of this intricate story unfolds throughout all 8 shows, so make sure you don't miss out. We promise to catch you up, but there's no pausing and no commercial breaks!

THE PHOTO ALBUM: AN INSTANT DRAMA
What are the important moments we choose to capture in our lives? What makes today and these people so important that we want to commemorate them? The Photo Album explores the characters who inhabit the photos in the same album and what leads them to be captured in those poignant, happy, beautiful snapshots we carry with us for the rest of our lives.

Theatre Momentum is holding auditions for our two upcoming projects, The Dinner and Bottle Episode. Come join the only theatre in Chicago dedicated to dramatic improv.

The Dinner, an instant drama
We aren't always honest with our friends, our loved ones, or even ourselves. When under the pressure of a friendly get-together or family dinner, we sugar-coat, embellish, and outright lie about every little aspect of our personal lives. The Dinner digs into the untruths, the fabrications, and every evasion to reveal the unvarnished truths we hide away. Bon appetit!
Auditions are Sunday, July 12 and July 19, 12-2:30 PM

Bottle Episode, an instant drama
Played out on a limited set, well connected characters forego flashy effects or wild plots in favor of exploring their group dynamics. Originally made to satisfy a tight budget, bottle episodes impose creative constraints that make TV characters turn inward, revealing their true self to those closest to them. Bottle Episode will escalate tension and put relationships to the test; will they grow closer or will they shatter?
Auditions are Thursday, July 9, 6-8:30 PM and Saturday, July 11, 3-5:30 PM
