Extremely looking forward to performing October 16th at Yucca Valley Material Lab!! We are traveling with 10 cellos to Joshua Tree in October to make work in the desert. Stay tuned for 'Augmented Geology', an exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center opening in November!!
Please join us on Sunday Oct. 16th at 5pm as Katinka Kleijn and Lia Kohl (Chicago) present new performance work for ten broken cellos, responding to as well as creating with the sounds and landscape of the desert. Both accomplished cellists, composers, and improvisers, their shared practice takes a performative approach to the cello as an object, including a series of works for cellos in public pools.⠀
