A new chapter begins.

With the support of the City of Chicago, Deeply Rooted is proud to move forward with the vision of the Deeply Rooted Center for Black Dance and Creative Communities—a transformative space where artistry, culture, education, and community will thrive.

This center represents more than a building. It is a commitment to preserving the legacy of Black dance, nurturing the next generation of artists, and creating a home where creativity, collaboration, and cultural excellence can flourish for years to come.

We are deeply grateful to the City of Chicago and to every artist, supporter, donor, and community member who has helped make this milestone possible. Together, we’re building a future rooted in history, inspired by innovation, and strengthened by community.
