We’re deeply grateful for the care, presence, and generosity so many people brought to this project. It meant a great deal to share Mack Baker’s work in this way and to witness the thoughtful conversations and connections it opened.

Mack Baker joined WGN Spotlight Chicago today to speak about Where My Hands Have Been, the exhibition now on view at the Design Museum of Chicago, and this Sunday’s Artist Talk.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share more about the work and the conversation it continues to open.

Join us this Sunday, March 15 at 2 PM for the Artist Talk, where Mack Baker, Justin Dwaun Redding, and Francine Almeda will be in conversation, moderated by Francine Almeda. We’ll also be releasing a new limited edition print by Mack Baker during the program.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of Where My Hands Have Been and helped make the evening so thoughtful, warm, and full of care.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who came through to spend time with Mack Baker’s incredible work and to be part of this moment with us. This exhibition holds so much tenderness, tension, and intimacy, and it meant a lot to see so many people engaging with it so generously.

If you haven’t made it yet, the exhibition remains on view through March 26 at the Design Museum of Chicago (Atrium).

This work holds intimacy as a physical record: touch pressed into clay, bodies held in time through photography. We hope you come spend time with it.

Join us for the opening reception of Where My Hands Have Been — a solo exhibition by Mack Baker, presented by NAOMI Projects at the Design Museum of Chicago (Atrium).

Through ceramics and photography, the exhibition explores the history intimacy leaves on the body—touch held in clay, bodies forming new landscapes, tenderness held alongside tension.
