Completed in 1917 by architects George and C.W. Rapp (Rapp & Rapp), it was built as a movie theater for the Balaban & Katz chain. Located in Chicago’s historic Uptown theater district, at the intersection of Racine, Broadway and Lawrence the Riviera Theatre is a central part of the Chicago’s past and present. Transformed into a private nightclub in 1986, the Riviera Theatre is now one of Chicago’s premier concert and special events venues. Tickets available in advance through AXS.com or in person at the Vic Theatre box office located at 3145 N. Advance tickets are not available in person at the Riviera Theatre except on nights of shows. Tickets are available for purchase in advance at the Vic Theatre for events at the Riviera Theatre, Vic Theatre and Park West. Vic Theatre box office hours:

Tuesday – Friday
12pm – 6pm*

Saturday
10am-4pm*

*Extended evening hours on days with shows

Closed Sunday & Monday (except on days when shows occur - 3pm opening time on show days)
