Tack Room In 1890’s every Czech tavern owner didn’t have a piano bar but they all had a carriage house. John Dusek’s Thalia Hall was no different.

In a forgotten about corner of the property, in a space that once housed Dusek’s horses, we have assembled a cozy cocktail bar. With a simple and curated cocktail menu, a view of Pilsen and patio seating, and a well-loved piano that has been patiently waiting to be played, it’s the kind of place you’ll stay all night: Tack Room, our last (maybe) addition to the Thalia Hall property. SAVE THE DATE! Join The Lexicon Trio on Friday, September 11 for a set of jazz tunes. They will be performing from 9pm-11pm that evening.

Lead by saxophonist Spencer Schillerstrom, The Lexicon Trio is composed of musicians who’ve dedicated their talents and time to the vast repertoire of jazz music. From swing to modern composition, this trio performs with reverence and reference to the past while allowing improvisation to change every performance. Composed of some of the best musicians in Chicago, The Lexicon Trio has performed all over the city at venues like The Waterfront Cafe, Ina Mae Tavern, and The Tack Room. Enjoy an evening of songbook ballads, bebop burners, and modern melodies with the Lexicon Trio.

JUST ANNOUNCED! ANDIE is making her return to Tack Room on Friday, September 4. Come kick off the holiday weekend and celebrate her birthday with her from 9pm-11pm. She will be playing an acoustic set of originals and covers.

ANDIE blends her influences of  Blues, Soul, R&B, and Jazz to create a unique and retro sound. ANDIE’s 2022 NPR Tiny Desk Submission for her song “He’s Not What You Need Blues” was described as “a skillful exploration of the hurt that comes with being betrayed” by NPR, and was released by the band in 2025. Her band ANDIE & The Bandits was recently voted  Chicago Reader’s “Best Blues Band 2025” as well as being finalists in the DCASE Chicago Made Music Showcase. ANDIE & The Bandits established themselves early as a force by winning  first place in Columbia College Chicago’s Biggest Mouth Band Competition in 2019. ANDIE & The Bandits have held residencies at Golden Dagger in 2023, and Epiphany Center for the Arts in 2024, solidifying themselves in the Chicago music scene.

From 6pm-8pm, you can enjoy $40 Spicy Margarita and Paloma pitchers as well as $25 Thalia Hall Pilsner and Yuengling beer pitchers all while listening to some live tunes. Thank you all for joining us each week for Kicking It Curbside! To close out the season, we have the one and only René Avila’s Afro Cuban Band taking over the patio. Join them on Monday, August 24th to hear sets of traditional Cuban from the golden ages of the 40’s 50’s and 60’s still keeping the “Charanga” format. Be ready to move and groove to the tunes from 7pm-9pm.
