Our primary goal is to empower artists and creatives by creating sacred, safe spaces that maximize our God-given talents and treasures, honoring God and blessing our communities.

Beauty saves the beast.

B*W loves your story, aka, LOVES YOU. Loves the beginning, middle, and what is to come. Jesus offers us eternal life because we were never meant to deal with death. Life is for living. Death does not define life; it just puts it in a box. Literally.

A ministry of love and hope requires courage, patience, and wisdom. Intimacy is scary stuff. Family gets in close. Family cries with you. Family lives and dies with you. Family makes ugly things together. Sounds like a real good life. Big Brotha’ Wilson looks at life in four parts: Father, Family, Freedom, and Farm. God gives Himself as Father, Jesus makes us family, giving us freedom to work the “farm” of God’s creation forever. Everyone is known, loved, and free to serve in the infinite expanse of a perfect creation. Smells like good news. Hopefully, this message (and rough sketches) will add a little more beauty to your Friday.

Interesting fact - Big Brotha’ Wilson originates from the Great State of Oklahoma. The state has produced too many wonders to communicate here. In the South and Southwest the word “mess” is not necessarily a bad thing. It can be a term of endearment. Mess is a good thing, if you are working towards better. Mess is bad, if you don’t care to make the most of your life.

When a Brotha’ says “dress for mess”, that means it is time to prepare your heart, mind, and tools for creative work. Hard work, but necessary work. Whatever your art, craft, and pursuit, you need to prepare yourself for rough starts, messy progress and questionable endings. Whether the work is art, faith, or life, it ain’t easy. All you can do is try your best and own your mess.

Happy Friday, Creative family, friends, and neighbors!

Not sure if you have heard of this new, fancy technology called A.I. or Automated (better than Artificial) Intelligence, but this Brotha’ has decided to jump in with both feet. He has been using Grammarly and Claude.ai for research and brainstorming with great effort and effect, but now we wade into the deep end. World creation.

Big Brotha’ Wilson has been producing a massive amount of content and looking for spaces and places to fill. Instead of him sneaking into your house at night and throwing up some phat graphics with dope colors (it’s Friday, y’all!), we can imagine the experience via artificial world creation and save our relationship from any drama. Win, win. Here is just a taste of the graphic goodness we will release into the real world.

The art is all original B*W. The environments are produced in Adobe Firefly, with little prompting and processing. A brotha’ is feeling really good about the forward motion of this idea. Seeing one’s work on display and in context is satisfying. There is a power surge and an eager desire to repeat and multiply the experiences. A brotha’ hopes that you are empowered to do the work you were created to do. There is increasing strength and joy when you are living as you were designed to live.

May Jesus “bless yo’ mess” and empower your heart to do good work in this bad world. “Show some Love,” by letting a brother know what you think and feel. We are taking the first steps towards world dominion, and you definitely want to be on this brotha’s good side. Come on in, take a seat. Relax and let’s make some good sh*t.

Meet the family!

My beloved, creative coworkers do not require paychecks, office snacks, and benefits package. They work for King and Kingdom. They represent, in small part, the beautiful spectrum of diversity and creative power of our brothers and sisters. They are true believers. They are burden bearers. They are here to serve you on your creative journey to maximize your God-given gifts. They are big sisters and brothers ready to encourage you to a better, nay, the best version of you. The heart of B*W is Father and the Eternal Family. If Father God wants everyone, then so should we. We are blessed, honored, and humbled that our art and ideas can be Light and Love for the world to better see and know Jesus as Savior, King, and The best of brothers. AND, the best lover you will ever know.

Project: Sweet Jesus is moving forward. Big Brotha’ Wilson is using lettering, layout, and character design to communicate the many flavas’ of Jesus. God is good. Faith is complicated. The pains of growth and supernatural warfare are very real.

We live in a bittersweet world that is more bitter than sweet. The only good is from God; we can enjoy goodness during the bad times because of Jesus Christ. Jesus is Satisfaction and Security for every human heart. If we are close to Jesus, we can experience the sweetness of His presence. Christians can be workers of goodness and joy. We are commanded to share the Good News of Jesus Christ like “beezy” little Gospel workers. This fun project is a call to exhibit the goodness of God through our lives, esp. creative expression and generosity.

Faith and fun go together. Share your faith if you believe that Jesus is Life and Freedom. Share your pain and struggles if you believe Jesus is working in and thru them. Share your joy if you know God sustains you at every moment. There are a lot of fun and crazy ideas out there. Ideas and work that honor God and bless your audience. Bring those ideas into the light. Show some Love!

Don’t know? Don’t care?

What if she were your sister or a friend, or a lover? Would you care that she has yet to discover the creative powerhouse God created her to be? What’s one more artist? What’s one less artist?

We have a responsibility to each other. Father God holds us accountable for the good we do, the bad we do, and the good work that is left undone or never started. If we believe this, it should touch our hearts. Family is our greatest gift; we need to invest in artists and support everyone’s creative expressions of love, truth, and beauty. We are created to be works of love and workers of beauty. Praise God in Heaven.

Happy Friday!

It’s your favorite (and only) creative Kingdom worker who is out here working for artists & creatives who desperately need encouragement and inspiration. No transactions required. We deal in relationships.

Every heart has a story with good and bad bits. Every person has something to offer and something to work on. Community is essential to strengthen the good and kill the bad.

The B*W story has a distinctive Chicago flava’. How does one creative share his heart in such a way to touch his fellow artists & creatives? The ancient art of stories. There are epic battles, villains, wizards, princesses, princes, a hero king, and a happily forever after.

Chicago is a deep dish of joy and sorrow. We are not moving to the burbs anytime soon, so it is time to dig deeper into our work for refreshed hearts and renewed minds. If you can imagine the faces of artists and creatives living in defeat, the words and images start to flow. The broken hearts are real. There is a massive waste of creative potential in our city because of injustices based on age, color, and inequality.

Join our efforts to strengthen our creative brothers and sisters, as well as being salt and light to our creative neighbors. We are created for abundant life and eternal glory.
