Celebrate the start of America's 250th birthday festivities under the stars with Independence Day, a iconic sci-fi blockbuster that helped define the summer movie season. 🇺🇸

With extreme heat forecasted, if you plan to attend outdoor events this week, be sure to stay hydrated, wear light, breathable clothing and plan accordingly. Gates open at 5 p.m. and screenings begin at 6:30 p.m.

Did you know: this year, Chicago hosts , a global celebration of the iconic music genre? This week, the festivities head to Millennium Park with free, pop-up performances from local jazz acts throughout the day Thursday, April 30! 🎷

Tonight, celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Pride and Prejudice" with a free screening at Jay Pritzker Pavilion, as part of the Millennium Park Summer Film Series.

The final film for this summer's lineup will be "Wicked", which is rescheduled for Monday, August 25. Films start at 6:30 p.m.
