Dear Friends,

As we settle into 2025, walk into Black and Women’s History Month, I’m excited to reintroduce BGM Consulting to some and introduce it to others. I founded BGM in 2022 after leaving my role at Fort Worth Opera to address the need for niche consulting services in the arts. After two years solidifying my role with Lyric Opera Chicago, I’m ready to fully relaunch BGM.

BGM offers a variety of strategic consulting services tailored to the needs of both companies and individual artists. As a multi-hyphenated administrator myself, I understand the unique challenges faced in the arts and entertainment industry. Brenda Marie Turner, CFRE, has over 14 years of experience as a nonprofit fundraising professional. She has directly raised more than $25 million and has indirectly raised nearly $1 billion. She has served in key positions on the Principal Gifts team at Northwestern University and the Fundraising and Communications team at Near North Montessori School, as Interim Chief Development Officer at the McGaw YMCA, and as a lead fundraiser at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Brenda holds an active Certified Fund Raising Executive credential and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association of Donor Relations Professionals.

BGM is a Black-woman founded, owned and led arts consulting firm.

BGM is our SECOND collaborative partnership with UIA Talent Agency

At BGM, we believe in creating safe spaces for artists to dream big and companies achieve their goals and operate at its highest capacity.

In the summer of 2020, UIA launched its Diversity Leadership Mentorship Program. This program provides a full-time paid mentorship in Artist Representation with the goal to strive for building a more diverse and inclusive environment at UIA's agency, and helping to facilitate the adoption of this type of program in other organizations throughout the industry.

BGM is honored to partner with UIA on this important initiative and body of work.
