Inherent in the Wampus Cats’ mission to support emerging playwrights is a desire to build an arts community that is equitable to and inclusive of all. In solidarity with the protesters around the country we have decided to donate all funds we had raised for our programming to the Chicago Community Bond Fund. We hope to share our work with you someday, and when that day comes we hope to have built a more just world. Black Lives Matter.

To Our Friends, Families, and Frenemies:
You’ve read enough of these messages this week to know where we’re going with this: The Wampus Cat Collective along with the cast and creative team has decided to POSTPONE our reading of Steve Barroga’s Phantasm Kaidan on Wednesday March 18. Like everyone else, we’re going to let the dust settle, reevaluate, and let you know when we have more information.
We can't wait for the chance to share this thrilling and trippy script with you, and we look forward to continuing to build a platform for Chicago playwrights and their new work. Right now, our collective is very young and very scrappy, so postponing a reading doesn’t really hurt us. But please check out our Instagram story for some arts organizations that DO need your support right now.
And remember to clean yourself. And not like a cat.

We’re thrilled to announce the cast and creative team behind our upcoming reading of Zack Peercy’s MUTED on February 19th at 8pm at Otherworld Theater!

MUTED will be directed by Grace Siplon and will feature Ryan Blanchard as Sid, Morgan Fuller as Chelsea, and Caitlin Connor as Liv.

SYNOPSIS: Over the course of a year, Sid, a college sophomore, learns to live with Chelsea, a ghost of a former middle school acquaintance.
