✨ Selection is based on academics, leadership, community service, essays, and references. All materials must be submitted through the portal. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The Social Justice 10-Minute Play Festival, The While Series wants to give a big thanks to Kaela West for taking part in the workshopping and staged readings of the Social Justice 10-Minute Play Festival, The While Series!

Kaela has been performing around the Chicagoland area since she was 7 years old and loves taking part in musicals, plays, and singing groups.

She was interested in taking part in this play festival because growing up as a biracial woman had its challenges and barriers.

These stories express many of her own feelings and memories of her own life. Getting to perform these plays is her own little way of spreading awareness of those challenges and barriers.
