JOIN ME CHICAGO for the opening reception of OFF-SPRING: New Generations, 21c Chicago’s latest exhibition, on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 6:30 to 8:30pm!!

Hosted by 21c Chief Curator, Museum Director Alice Gray Stites and 21c Chicago Creative Consultant Nigel Barker, the evening will begin with a reception at 6:30pm. An introduction to the exhibition by the Chief Curator will be followed by a special presentation from featured artist Angela Ellsworth, with a wine reception and light bites from Lure Fishbar.

The exhibition, which remains on view through January 2024 throughout the 21c Chicago gallery spaces, presents a thematic group exhibition of 100 multi-media artworks by 60 artists from across the globe highlighting how religious, cultural, familial, and personal rituals shape who we are and how and where we live, love, and learn. OFF-SPRING features works by artists Gehard Demetz, Angela Ellsworth, Lalla Essaydi, Anthony Goicolea, Rachel Lee Hovnanian, Li Hongbo, Ragnar Kjartansson, Kelly Kristin Jones, Deana Lawson, Hans Op de Beeck, Chiaru Shiota, Vee Speers, Carrie Mae Weems, and others. Chicago-based artists include: Anwulika Anigbo, Kelli Connell and Natalie Krick O_Man!, Michelle Hartney, Kelly Kristin Jones, and Michael Koerner.

Thrilled to collaborate with .lunina’s to present her series, Rhythm of the Lake, at !!

Artist Reception is tomorrow, Dec. 2 from 6-7:30pm. Joking me for an Art in Wine tour then hear Tanya speak about the series at 6:15/6:30pm. Her work will be on view in Gallery 3 till January 31st, 2023.

In her ongoing series, Rhythm of the Lake, photographer Tanya Lunina directs her camera at Lake Michigan in Chicago. Solitude within the open space and the various moods of the lake draw Lunina to the expanse of this body of water. Her frequent visits to the lakefront reveal a personal interpretation of a place in the city where the built environment meets the natural landscape. Water, sky, and concrete dissect each photograph into simple forms while the repetition of these elements are visual evidence of change and the passage of time.

I am thrilled to be partnering with again to offer Pricing Your Photographs for the Fine Art Market! This advanced two day workshop focuses on the fundamentals of pricing. The second class is strictly to review and discuss YOUR ACTUAL PRICING! It is my favorite workshop because of the planning and discussion surrounding pricing structures from the individuals taking the class. Not only do you get direct feedback about your structures, but you learn some much from the other students as they ask questions you hadn’t thought of yet. Join me!!
