Thank you Namit Cafe for hosting Sinag’s holiday party last night. And thank you to those who braved the freezing temps to join us. It was great reconnecting with you all.

And that’s a wrap! Our lead Sinag mural volunteer Michael Del Valle finished late yesterday to this beauty. This was a tall mountain to climb and Sinag’s biggest project yet, but we did it! Our thanks to the Sinag Art Collective volunteers, Rizal Center, Ignite Fund and Illinois Arts Council. Date of reveal ceremony to be announced soon.

Our Rizal Center mural is taking shape. We hope for it to be a vibrant reflection of our community's stories and heritage.

Huge thanks to our Sinag mural volunteers (special shoutout to .delvalle for all the heavy lifting these past weeks), Rizal Center Rizal Center Board members, and our sponsors, the Ignite Fund and the Illinois Arts Council, for making this possible. Earlier this year, Sinag received a grant from the Ignite Fund, and just recently, additional support from the Illinois Arts Council!

The Ignite Fund is a Regional Regranting Program administered by 3Arts () and supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts ().
Together, we're painting a brighter, more connected community.

Thank you all for all those who came out to the Kwentuhan, for those who participated and helped to make our Filipino-American art event a huge success. Thank you Consul Melvin Almonguerra and Atty Mark from the Philippine Consulate for gracing the affair. A special salamat to Evanston Public Library for providing us with the space for the exhibit and talks, and to Coffee Lab Evanston - Study Spot, Southeast Asian Cakes & Bites for the reception. The Bayanihan spirit (it truly takes a village) is alive and well. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat.
