I’ve been working on capturing what I feel versus simply what I see. Simplifying, or synthesizing, takes lots of practice—and nerves of steel with watercolor. Staying loose and keeping to a limited palette really helps to keep my effort focused. These are larger, 15” x 22”, so the rollercoaster ride is even more thrilling. I can’t wait to paint more of these!

I’ll be *popping up* at Eden Agora Spa on Thursday, May 16 from 5-8pm at the Main -Dempster Mile Arts & Crafts Beverage Crawl. This event is a fundraiser, 100% of sales go to benefit Evanston Made programs and events.
Walk up tickets on sale day-of are available at Maison du Prince at 1239 Chicago Avenue, and at Kombucha Brava alley entrance behind Sketchbook Brewing.

A HUGE thank you to Jefferson Park Sunday Market for letting me be a last-minute participant at this Sunday's indoor market. What a FANTASTIC event in a great space (The Annex at the )! Lots of pieces found new homes, I made so many new friends, and I got to be part of an incredibly warm and vibrant community. Shame on me for not taking any event photos. I can't wait to do this again!

All four field houses are completed! Their permanent home will be at the assisted living facility going up at six corners.
Jefferson Park, Portage Park, Wilson Park, and Independence Park.

No orthodox gallery practices whatsoever were used in hanging this show, and I couldn’t be happier. I am incredibly grateful to everyone at the Copernicus Center for this wonderful opportunity to showcase my interpretations of scenes around our neighborhood, as well as for all the help going up and down ladders and dangling from electrical conduit to get all the pieces on the walls.
