.barnard123 came in a Bob Dylan enthusiast and left one step closer to Dylan's process.

He wrote an original song for his niece — inspired by It's All Over Now, Baby Blue. What he didn't know going in: Dylan recorded that track on a Neumann U87. Same mic we use here.

Dominic had been recording at home for years but came in ready to do it right — vocals, guitar, harmonica, and production. 8 hours of deep diving into the craft and an all around great time.

The family just got a little bigger. 🎙️✨

My U87 has been the backbone of my studio for years — and now it's got company. Picked up a pair of KM 184s last week and they've already earned their place on acoustic guitars, flute, and saxophone.

It's wild to think this all traces back to one man — Georg Neumann, .berlin who founded his company in Berlin back in 1928 and helped define the modern condenser microphone as we know it. From the legendary CMV 3 "Neumann bottle" to the U47 that shaped the sound of modern music, his obsession with precision and craftsmanship set the standard that every mic maker still chases today. Nearly a century later, that DNA is alive and well in every mic in this photo.

Old meets new. Same bloodline. Same magic 🇩🇪🎷

Always an incredible time recording with multi-discipline artist ! John's currently working on an ambitious multimedia project that includes his work in glass, music, and film — arranging with talented musicians from around the world including , from , and Gene Micofsky. The music is this intricate blend of jazz, edgy funk, and new wave — incredibly original with a fearless spirit to break boundaries. and I connected right away when he called to book — He had a specific vision he wanted to capture with his new project and knew exactly what he was trying to get across with his songs. His enthusiam on the phone and plus he said The Silver Jews were one of his favorite bands, I knew instantly we were gonna be making some great tracks. He's been putting in serious work this year with 8-12 hour recording sessions, sometimes multiple times a week, and it's been one of the most rewarding projects I've worked on in 2026. The breakdown on his second single "Downtown Dogs" is one of my favorite moments I've engineered this quarter!
