Lies & Liability: A Summer's Ball
Saturday, the 12th of September

You’re invited to the event of the season! Tag a friend who might want to join us!

Join us for an evening of Regency merriment, dancing, daring and more at Lies & Liability: A Summer’s Ball.

We’ll engage in country dancing and perhaps some of the more exotic dances of the Regency era – wilder than Pride & Prejudice, but more historically accurate than Bridgerton – instructed by professional dance instructor and dance historian, Susan de Guardiola. These dances are fun to learn, and tailored to beginners! Anticipate to spent most of your evening dancing. Make the pleasing acquaintances of new friends through social dancing, where partners dance with everyone in their set at some point! Couples, singles, and friends are all very welcome.

This is an immersive event, but you need not play a character beyond picking a name for yourself. (Miss Smith, for example, or Lord Evermont) Of course, you’re welcome to play along as much as you like. There will be costumed actors who will roleplay with you as much (or as little!) as you please, and you can find out from them all the gossip of the Ton.

BeCon, Chicagoland's only larp convention, has had a helluva go finding out their hotel is closing less than two months ahead of time. They've scrambled to find a new hotel, and they've pulled off a miracle.

Signups go live soon, and I hope you'll consideration joining us at one of my favorite events of the year! Larps, late night room parties, theory discussion, and more.

I'm also debuting my new larp, Bramblewood! This Win in the Willows inspired larp is cozy, tender, and all about community and being lil' woodland guys. ❤️❤️❤️

Mark your calendars for the return of Hawkins! Inspired by 1980s sci-fi horror such as Stranger Things and Stephen King's IT, Hawkins is a weekend-long experience like no other. Become a part of small-town Wisconsin and discover dark secrets that should have stayed buried.

Addams Family is coming to Side Street Studio Arts!

Thanks to everyone who turned out and turned it up at FISSURE! Our Arcane Dance Party Larp was a huge success and a much needed blast of q***r joy.

Special thanks to Bookclub Chicago for being our wildly enthusiastic hosts, Tae Moon Photography for taking photos for us, and DJ Joyfreq for spinning tracks. We hope to bring this back later in the year, so keep your eyes peeled and your updates on!
