Sandy Film Festival Sandy Film Festival observes film as a gateway to mental health and understanding within the community. This festival takes place annually in Chicago.

Rules and Terms

Films that are submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required copyright permissions regarding music, sound & images etc. presented in their film. All films that are not in English, must have English language subtitles. Multiple entries from the s

ame submitter are accepted. The decision of the festival selection committee will be final. The excerpts from films submitted can be shown on social networks. Festival organizers reserve rights change, cancel or re-schedule the dates, venue, awards & categories without consent or information to contestants. The organizers reserve the right not to award any or all of the prizes.

Are you coming to Feature Fridays? Friday, September 11 we are screening Woman King (2022) as part of our summer movie series Kings On King.

Nanisca, starring Viola Davis, trains a new generation of the Agojie— an all-female warrior unit in 1800s Dahomey, a powerful pre-colonial West African Kingdom in present day Benin. The women of Agojie prepare for a war against encroaching Portuguese slave traders. This film is rated PG-13.

Doors open at 8:30pm ✨ Film starts at 9-ish. Bring your crew, bring your blanket, and enjoy the movies under the stars in our open air cinema at the .social courtyard.
