We are incredibly proud of the impact our first-ever Guest Artist in Residence, Zuill Bailey, has made on the Cheyenne community! 🎶🎻

In a marathon of 13 events and concerts over just 3 days, his community outreach touched the lives of everyone from pre-K students to seniors. He shared his artistry through intimate performances and conversations at Aspen Wind Assisted Living & Memory Care, Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Wyoming, Cheyenne Rotary Club, Davis Hospice Center, Harvest Christian Academy, Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne, Lifecare Center of Cheyenne, and Pointe Frontier.

Zuill also inspired the next generation of local musicians by leading incredible masterclasses with the Cheyenne Youth Symphony, East High School, and the LCCC Cello Studio! ✨

Thank you, Zuill, for sharing your time, talent, and passion with all of us!

What a spectacular evening! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday at the beautiful Wyoming Hereford Ranch Residence for "Bailey Goes Baroque in the Barn".

Our phenomenal Artist-in-Residence, Grammy Award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey, delivered a breathtaking performance featuring a curated selection of movements from J.S. Bach's cello suites. It was truly a night to remember, made even more special by Zuill's engaging comments and educational anecdotes that brought the music and its history to life for the audience.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Kenneth & Myra Monfort Charitable Foundation for generously underwriting our guest artist.

Thank you to all who attended and supported the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra!

Get ready for an extraordinary musical experience! 🎻✨

We are absolutely thrilled to feature Grammy Award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey at our upcoming special fundraising concert, "Bailey Goes Baroque in the Barn," on May 21, 2026, at the beautiful Wyoming Hereford Ranch Residence.

Widely considered one of the premiere cellists in the world, Zuill's rare combination of celebrated artistry and engaging personality makes him one of the most sought-after musicians today. Here are just a few highlights from his incredible career:

🌎 He has been featured with more than 200 symphony orchestras and music festivals around the globe!
🏆 He won the 2017 Best Solo Performance Grammy Award for his recording of Michael Daugherty's “Tales of Hemingway.”
💿 His extensive discography includes his newest release featuring the world premiere recording of Ellen Taaffe Zwilich's Cello Concerto, as well as a phenomenal multichannel recording of the Bach Cello Suites.
🎻 He performs on a historic "rosette" 1693 Matteo Gofriller Cello, formerly owned by Mischa Schneider of the Budapest String Quartet!

We are still smiling from our Musical Storytime and Instrument Petting Zoo a couple of weeks ago! 🐇🌷

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Paul Smith's Children's Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens on May 9th. Our wonderful storyteller, Liam Guille, and our incredibly talented CSO musicians brought Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Peter Rabbit to life beautifully with the sounds of the flute, clarinet, and bassoon. 🎶📖

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the amazing local high school volunteers, mentors, and assistants who patiently guided our Instrument Petting Zoo, helping kids get hands-on experience with orchestral instruments. A special shoutout to our corporate sponsor, Niemann & Sons Music, for generously providing the instruments that made this possible.

Thank you all for helping us share the magic of music and reading with our Cheyenne community! Stay tuned for more family fun. 🎻✨
