🤓 Today at the , Maestro William Intriligator offered detailed insights into the context of Respighi’s Pines of Rome, a major work that draws on the full range and technical capacity of the orchestra. He shared with more than 50 attendees how the piece was composed and what inspired it. 🎶
🎹 Later, Steinway pianist Lorraine Min joined the discussion to describe how Brahms wrote his first piano concerto and the dramatic mood within its movements. She demonstrated techniques used in the concerto and explained the demanding energy required not only from the soloist but also from the orchestra and conductor.
It was rewarding to see familiar faces at the event, and we welcome new patrons who will enjoy tomorrow’s concert.
