Charles Anderson was a strange man Part two
The janitors decided to give Charley a call. They called three times and didnt get an answere.They decided to call a cop for a check and they all went to Charley's on lunch break. They knocked on the door-- no answere so they got the key from the landlord. They opened the door slowly calling his name but he didnt answere.He didnt answere because he was slumped over the kitchen table with his head resting on a can of Hormel beef stew. An enormous pile of crossword magazines were scattered all over the table. Afew single puzzle books were on the floor leading to under the bed where the entire space was jammed with magazines. a few puzzle books led to a hollowed out panel in the drywall. Pete the veteran cop picked up one of the crossword puzzle books and flipped through it and suddenly stopped when he saw a 50 dollar bill fall from between the pages. In fact, all the puzzle books had currency between each page-- some twenties some fifties and some one hundreds.
It really makes you wonder about Charley doesnt it?

Charles Anderson was a Strange Man. part one. His name was Charles Anderson. The other janitors at the elementary school just called him Charlie. He was reliable, hard working and considered a nice guy. Over lunch break, Charlie would listen at the right times and laugh at the right times but never offer anything personal. You might say nobody really knew Charlie real well. When Charlie would leave work in the early morning, he would place a can of Hormel beef stew on the pilot light of his kitchen stove. When he would arrive home in the late afternoon his can of stew was heated just right for his supper. he lived in an upstairs two room apartment. It was clean and fairly orderly. Every late afternoon he would eat his stew at the kitchen table and busy himself with a stack of crossword puzzle magazines.he found quite a few of them in a trash can and some of them werent even written in. the used ones could be erased he figured. One morning Charlie didnt show up at the school . This was very unusual and none of the other janitors could remember a time when Charlie didnt show up in the morning exactly seven minutes early. Charley didnt show up the next morning and the other janitors grew really concerned. Part two soon.
