L A V E N D E R 🪻

Today we want to profess our love for Lavender, this magical little plant, and tell a story about how it helped our cofounder Rachael.

Many lifetimes ago, in the 2010s, Rachael was living a very different life. She was deep in a decade long career in the media industry in New York City. She did not have calming practices other than occasionally attending overcrowded yoga classes. She was overstimulated, overwhelmed, and overworked. Her days fellt intense, her sleep patterns were terrible, and she was not finding any balance in her life.

That is when she found lavender.

It started with an essential oil spray someone gifted her. She developed a bedtime routine around it and it improved and deepened her sleep. From there it led her to deepen her relationship with the plant and work with it to find inner calm through developing a meditation practice. The more she deepened into her relationship with lavender, the more doors were opening and her old life was fading away. Its soothing scent became a daily ritual to quiet the inner and outer noise and restore balance to her nervous system.
Lavender became true gateway that ultimately guided her to fully transition out of her former life and into this holistic path.

🪻Why we love Lavender:

Lavender is celebrated across holistic traditions for its profoundly healing and calming properties. It assists to soothe the nervous system and restore your natural rhythm, making it a perfect remedy for anxiety and burnout, or an ally for sleep.

Calms the Mind: Helps ease stress and quiet mental chatter.

Supports Rest: Promotes a deep, restorative night of sleep.

V I T A L H A R M O N Y

Story time!

4 years ago, our cofounder was working in emergency management with the Red Cross, a career she had held for 25 years. She had been on the ground for massive disasters like 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina, managing the emergency relief efforts on behalf of the Red Cross. She was mentally and emotionally overloaded and fatigued - and overall, feeling incredibly burnt out.

She soon was called to the plants and entered into an herbalism program which changed the trajectory of her life. As a student in her herb class, she volunteered to be a patient - and the recipe that her herbal teachers designed for her was the basis for Vital Harmony.

This combination is great for adrenal fatigue. It has four adaptogens that help the body manage stress. Maria found that licorice really helped soothe her nervous system. She still takes it occasionally when she feels overloaded.

Ingredients:: Alcohol, Water, Reishi, Gotu Kola , Licorice, Schisandra, Motherwort, Rosemary, Honey

🌼 Herb Of The Day :: Chamomile

(Also one of Marias favorites!)

Most of us know chamomile as a calming herb, great before bed or when you are winding down to soothe anxiety and improve sleep. What you might not know is that this pretty little flower is also packed with natural antioxidants; it helps calm skin irritation, eases digestion, and even relieves cold symptoms.

In the garden, Chamomile acts as a natural, pollinator-safe pest repellent that keeps aphids, mites, and whiteflies away without harming our favorite buzzy little helpers. 🐝

Chamomile can be found in our Zen Time and Deep Rest Tea blends. It’s also one of Marias favorites! Come by this weekend to learn more about this special herb and try some of our blends
