As Harvest Fest is approaching, I couldn’t help but reflect on the great year for both! As a coach, I hope that our program is a small part of what makes our community great. I know that there are many cogs in that wheel of greatness and I am proud that Hawk Football is one of them. There is so much new around here since the last Harvest Fest… new construction, new businesses, and a State Championship! We base our football program on Family. We are one, each of us have one, and we are so happy and proud to be part of an even bigger one...our community! We have always tried to help out by unloading/loading moving vans, laying sod, setting up for Harvest Fest, or just helping out wherever needed. We also provide a couple opportunities for the community to meet and hang out with your State Championship Football Team.

Of course we can’t forget about our Texas friends! One of my favorite parts of this festival are the folks who come from out of town and out of STATE to the Hi-Line to celebrate community & agriculture. Chasen Wayne Mitchell was born on a team roping ranch in Kennedale, Texas and raised in a world fueled by rodeo, drag racing, and blue-collar grit. He gets it.

Chasen Wayne & the Honk Tonk Machine Chasen Wayne are going to close out the festival on Saturday, Sept 19th 💎 Check out his new record 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕚𝕒𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕕 𝕊𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕟!

From the Class of 2000- On August 23, our friend and classmate Adam Ghekiere experienced a loss that is almost impossible to put into words. In a single, unimaginable tragedy, Adam lost his wife, Megan; his children, Landon and Charlotte; his stepchildren, Owen and Chloe; and several members of his extended family. In an instant, the life and family he knew and loved were forever changed.

For those of us who have known Adam for many years, it is especially difficult to comprehend. As a first responder, Adam has shown up for others in moments of crisis and helped people through some of the most difficult days of their lives. Today, he is the one who needs a community to show up for him.

This raffle is a small way for the Chester High School Class of 2000 and all who participate to surround Adam with that support. While nothing can ease the enormity of his grief or replace those he has lost, we can help lessen some of the burdens that come with the days and months ahead and give him the space to grieve, heal, and honor the family he loves so deeply. We hope you will join us in supporting Adam and reminding him that, even in the darkest of circumstances, he does not have to walk forward alone.

Prizes will be drawn via the RallyUp platform and will be announced at 7:30 p.m. at the Hi-Line Harvest Fest in Adam’s hometown of Chester, MT. Winners will be notified and need not be present to win.

Note: This charitable fund will benefit Adam and his parents, Steve & Natalie, as they navigate the weeks, months, and years ahead.
