The only thing I wanted this year for Christmas was to watch you girls do your parade dance. I don’t know how to thank you all, your parents or Allie, Stephanie or Rebecca enough for the tear jerking, hilarious and often awkward video montage that you made me. I got to see it today (twice) and it absolutely made my Christmas. You looked beautiful dancing to Will’s fabulous piece, and your messages couldn’t have been more you, more perfect, or more needed, and I will treasure it forever. All my love.

Attention all dance families!

This morning's tropical storm knocked out 50% of the power to our complex and it affected all of the shops in the complex differently. It knocked out our air conditioning and two of our stereo systems. We are having to close classes tonight. Virginia Power estimates that it will take about 24 hours for it to be resolved, please check your e-mail before coming to class tomorrow (Wednesday, August the 5th). Sorry for the inconvenience!

B. Stretch three times as long?
C. Enjoy a few days off?

If you chose C, you’re right! That’s what our teachers will be doing this weekend! Enjoy the rest, classes start back up on Monday!

As we prepare to post results of this year’s DM audition, here are a couple of things to keep in mind.
1. Results are based on the professional opinions of 5 judges, who have all “been there and done that”. Results are not based on mine or Rebecca’s opinions alone.
2. We do not use company placement to reward or punish our dancers. If you moved up, it’s because we think you are ready, if you didn’t it’s because there are areas you aren’t quite ready in yet. That’s really it. No ulterior motives.
3. We have placed you where we believe you will grow the most and flourish the most. Trust us. We have been doing this since Moses was a baby.
4. We love each and every one of you and are proud of everything you have accomplished during this past INSANE year.
5. It’s a holiday weekend. Allow ALL your teachers to have a couple of days off before you bombard us with questions, comments and concerns!
Our dancers waiting for makeup auditions will be added to this list after their auditions are completed.
We will be back in the studio on Monday!!
Placements will be coming out soon love you all!
