To the ones NOT wanting to book DJ for your wedding..... Listen up!

Honestly, I think what it is... Some people always try to find the shortcut when it comes to their wedding and for some odd reason, it's always in regards to the DJ. In old terms the DJ stood for disc jockey, someone that just played music, didn't speak and that was that. Well I've learned over the last 35 years that that's not the case when it comes to those two letters anymore. Especially when it comes to weddings or professional corporate events. You are a voice, you are a leader during the event, you are a crowd motivator when it comes to the style of music and how you present your music. Some brides end up with incredible DJs for their wedding that people talk about for years to come all because they didn't lessen the experience. They paid the proper price that DJs deserve. It's 2026 and we're still seeing people trying to get DJs for $500. Go ahead, get you that DJ or get you a Bluetooth speaker that you think is going to be loud enough for 150 plus people. Not going to happen. And yes you are right, some of these people that are asking these questions aren't educated on how a wedding works. There needs to be more local seminars that people like myself can go and speak at to educate people prior to booking vendors for their biggest day! And I think you'll agree.

Just giving a little feedback when you hear some of these brides speak about not needing a DJ at their wedding when they're inviting several hundred people to their biggest day! This is my response to that....

Just to give you a little input, the DJ isn't just for dancing. He is your spokesperson for your wedding. Allows everyone at your event to know what's going on and what's coming up next. Without a DJ your whole wedding party will be lost. I've seen it happen several times but when you're there that day, on your biggest day ever, you can't just grab one like something you may have forgot at the dollar store. Just letting you know.
